Each teether is fashioned from maple wood and finished with beeswax.

I'm glad to see the various teething toys being offered by Tiny Birds and will go ahead and splurge and get the rubber giraffe. My son hasn't really taken to this wooden ring-- perhaps it is too hard for him. He also doesn't care for the cold on his face from the refrigerated plastic rings. I am glad I have this product since it is pretty and non-toxic, easy to clean, can take it with me everywhere and it is a quiet distraction! My son may prefer the giraffe, but I may need him to stick with the maple ring!
