Prefolds are one of the most versitile diapering products. Prefolds wash easily, dry quickly, fit all body shapes, are absorbent, and can function as doublers and stuffers when folded into thirds. If you are just using the prefolds tri-folded in a wrap-style cover, the infant-size is the size we recommend because they fit best into wrap-covers. The longer premium size is much longer and needs to be folded down in front, making it a bit bulky. If using a snappi, the extra width of the premium size is needed around age 1, but for the tri-fold system, the extra width isn't needed and the infant size can take you through potty training, with just an extra doubler added on top for extra absorbency. For night-time, we recommend a thick fitted diaper like Clover Fitteds, with a wool cover on top. We have night-time leaks any time we try something other than wool for night-time.
