Madder root is one of my favorite natural dyes.  Such a beautiful earthy color.

Streakers Madder: A gorgeous and unique custom millspun worsted with random streaks of madder root natural-dye. Very intense and saturated streaks of plant dyed shades flow through the skein in a completely random fashion. There are no repeats in the pattern. Knits up to an absolutely gorgeous fabric. Pure worsted weight wool. Works well for any worsted weight pattern. The solid color in the photo is also dyed with natural madder root.  The price is for one 4 oz skein of worsted weight yarn, approx 200 yards. 3.5-4.5 sts./in. on #8/9 needle. The yarn is a very soft USA-wool, hand-dyed with natural dye by La Lana wool in New Mexico. We visited their shop while vacationing in Taos, and I just couldn't resist this beautiful soft yarn. I wouldn't have expected it to be sooo soft!!
