Prices are shown in the drop-down list for each mattress size (twin through king).  3-layer dunlop latex mattress.  Each layer can be either "S - soft", "M - medium", or "F - firm".  Most customers seem very happy with a soft/med/firm layering (the mattress arrives with a zip-cover and 3 layers, so you can put whatever layer you want on top, rotating the layers to find the softness that feels best).  If you wake up feeling sore or if you sleep on your side, you likely need a soft layer on top to relieve pressure points.  Light-weight people also usually need a softer mattress (due to not having enough weight to allow the mattress to mold to the body shape and relieve pressure points).  My sister and I both like the soft-soft-medium layering best for ourselves (we are in the 100-150 lb range and suffered from back-aches in the past when we used innerspring mattresses).  Our husbands weigh more and prefer a firmer mattress for their side of the bed, for example soft-med-firm (at 180 lbs) or med-med-firm layering (at 220 lbs).  The queen and king size mattresses can be ordered with split-layering (different  layering on one side compared to the other).  If you'd like that option, please just let us know after ordering (it's no extra charge).  The split layering offers the greatest flexibility for changing the firmness once the mattress is at your house (you can rotate the layers around until you find the softness that works best on each side of the bed). If you sometimes sleep in the middle of the bed, you might prefer the top-layer being 1 solid piece, with just the underneath layers being split-layer, for example.

A note from Kate about the layering: "I think MFF would be a true firm and FFF would be an extra firm. MMF would be a medium-firm / SMF would be a medium/ SMM would be a medium-soft, SSM would be a soft and SSS would be an extra soft....that is my opinion based on trying them all as an average sized person - lighter people will find them firmer and heavier people will find them softer."

After the first night of sleeping on his new mattress son Michael said he was sure it would change his life! I just returned from a visit with him and he let me sleep on his lovely mattress all five nights. It was a pretty delicious experience.

We had a wonderful night's sleep on our cloud bed, as Jim has named it. The bed went together real easily, as did the new frame, and right now, Jim is breaking it in with an extended nap! Thanks for all of your help and patience. This has been a great experience! We got MMF on one side and MFF on the other (split layer).

For the past year we've had problems with Lucas awakening during the night 2-3 times every night, without fail. Well, since he began sleeping on his new mattress (twin SSM)...he's slept the night through all but one night!!! It was the best money we've ever spent! LOL! It's enabling us to get a full uninterrupted nights sleep! Woohoo! Lucas' bed is soooo comfortable! We can hardly wait to order one for ourselves!

We love our mattresses so much! Our 3 year old loves hers (SSM) just as much as we love ours (SMF). Every single night, no joke, I say to my husband "I LOVE our bed!" And we have had it for 1.5 years. I am amazed that I am still saying that. Whenever we go away on a trip, I miss my bed so much.
