DISCLAIMER
Although we have never had any any incidents that have resulted in harm to infants, there is always a chance they will break the necklace apart and perhaps swallow one of the beads. For the necklace, the beads are knotted in between each other, and the cord is designed to break with enough force, the clasp is a screw clasp. The bracelet has a stretch band and isn't knotted between beads (recommended age 3+).  Amber is a natural healing product that works by being next to baby's skin. The child does not have to put the beads in or around their mouths. This product should be used under direct supervision of an adult. Reviewer: by Nanette I put this necklace on my 9 month old because I was warned a million times (by everyone from my mom to a random lady at Safeway) that once he finally sprouted his first tooth, it was going to be extra-painful since it had taken him so stinkin' long. Well, the necklace arrived on Tuesday and on Friday he had his first tooth. He didn't make a peep - the only reason I know it even broke skin is because I stuck my finger in his mouth to extract a bouncy ball. Besides being magical :) the necklace is beautiful and makes my dear son look like a little surfer. The best $22 I've spent in a long time! There is no fear of lead in the clasp, and each bead is individually knotted. It has held up to 6 months (and counting) of daily use, and my son is noticeably less cranky when it is on.
